The Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems and Architectures Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory invites you to apply to join our world-class team of systems analysts.
Working directly with Department of Defense (DoD) senior leadership, the group provides unbiased analysis on the DoD’s most urgent and challenging problems and recommends solutions that directly impact the course of our national defense strategy.

Position Description
What will you do?
As an Associate Staff member of the ISR Systems and Architectures Group, you will support systems analysis studies of critical DoD missions, planned DoD capabilities, and new technologies.
You will contribute to the development of physics- and engineering-based models for a wide array of technologies related to sensors, aircraft, satellites, communication systems, navigation, and data exploitation.
While previous experience in these systems isn’t required, you must be able to leverage your technical background to quickly build knowledge as you learn from, and collaborate with, experts across the Laboratory.
Additionally, you will prepare and present high-quality briefings to convey key study findings and recommendations, and will deliver these to a range of audiences including DoD senior decision-makers, government technology experts, and Lincoln Laboratory colleagues.

Requirements
Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Aeronautics / Astronautics, Engineering, or a related technical field
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3.5 GPA
- Ability to quickly learn new technical areas
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex technical problems and effectively communicate key findings
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with highly interdisciplinary teams
- Experience with MATLAB-based modeling, simulation, and data analysis
- Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level security clearance with compartmented program eligibility
