Job Summary

The Inventory Stock Room Clerk is responsible for managing inventory-related tasks, including ordering parts for maintenance work orders, documenting transactions, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

This role involves communication with vendors and adherence to policies and procedures related to inventory management.

The clerk will also support various inventory-related projects while ensuring compliance with system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Order parts for maintenance work orders and emergencies as necessary, documenting them in the checkbook ledger.
• Store and maintain inventory records to ensure adequate supply levels.
• Prepare, copy, and distribute required reports.
• Communicate with vendors regarding inventory and supply needs.
• Adhere to WMS, SAP, ADC, and SOX policies and procedures related to inventory.
• Assist with period-end duties and other inventory-related tasks as assigned.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain alignment with the ABC Cycle Count Report; review variances with the Inventory Controller per policy.
• Follow directions from Controllers and Supervisors to support daily system balancing in compliance with SOX requirements, including SAP, WMS, and ADC.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of experience in a supply chain-related role, such as parts room controller or buyer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to lift between 15 and 50 pounds continuously.
• Good math skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong visual counting skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in inventory coordination.
• Knowledge of SAP inventory management systems.
