Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery
Location : Rowlett, TX
Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
Shifts per Week : 3
Scheduled Hours : 36
Hourly Rate : $32 - $53 / hour
Job Overview :
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
You will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. You will be involved in patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and supporting physicians during delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
- Assist physicians during deliveries and cesarean sections.
- Educate and support mothers and their families on postpartum care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Experience in labor & delivery or a similar setting preferred.
