Job Description :
As a Certified Surgical Technician at Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.
You will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support to our surgeons.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
- Sterilize and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients during surgery.
- Assist with patient transport and transfer to the recovery area.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide excellent patient care.

Required Skills :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Experience in a surgical setting preferred but not required.
