Senior Construction Project Manager - Affordable Housing - Manhattan, NY
$140,000-$180,000 Base Salary + Benefits
Our client is a well-established General Contractor specializing in Affordable Housing Multi-family projects in Manhattan, NY.
They are looking to add a talented Project Manager to the Construction team.
The role :
- Oversee Multi-Family Construction projects, including financial, legal and liability, schedules, risk examination and special issues.
- Initiate meetings with owners and subcontractors to get a better understanding of project status and complications.
- Manage all projects from concept to completion overseeing project team to ensure they be held to a high standard.
- Forecast and track the amount of labor, managerial and material costs necessary to complete a project.
- Identify progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved time-lines. Reports status and variances.
- Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
- Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders.
- Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
- Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
- Assist in any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager focusing on Affordable Housing projects.
- Ability to read and understand all types of construction drawings.
- Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction software.
- Proven ability to run projects on time and on / under budget.
- Capacity to deftly oversee multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven track record of excellence in meeting project deliverable.
- Experienced with Procore.
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or Construction Management preferred.
- Commutable throughout the 5 boroughs of New York and to parts of New Jersey if needed.
