Overview

Trauma / Critical Care Medical Director Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Trauma / Critical Care Medical Director to lead our established hospital-based practice of 11 General Surgeons.

Candidate must be BE / BC in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship is required. Cape Fear Valley Health’s Emergency Department is the busiest in North Carolina, one of the top 10 busiest in the nation, and treats 100k adult and 40k pediatric cases annually.

It is designated a Level III Trauma Center. Our providers perform a wide variety of surgery, including minimally invasive procedures for acute and chronic conditions as well as acute care surgery.

DaVinci XI on site. This position will be a mix of cases. Strong surgical skills are desired, and trauma interest and added qualifications in surgical critical care are highly desirable.

Cape Fear Valley Health System has partnered with Campbell University to educate the next generation of physicians. The residency programs are designed to provide each trainee with a foundation for lifelong learning while fulfilling the accrediting bodies’ knowledge and competency requirements.
