We are looking for a Mid-level Software QA Engineer to join our team. A successful candidate will collaborate extensively with developers to understand, scope out, and execute test cases.
This position will help define our test strategy and processes and develop new test cases for our various platforms. Candidates must have at least 2 years of Manual testing experience and automation experience is highly preferred.
This is a full-time remote position, but highly prefer based out of Knoxville. Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central Time zone to be considered for this position.
Software QA Engineer Responsibilities
- Define, compose, and evaluate test plans for our various products
- Investigate, document, and appropriately escalate bugs
- Generate test results, metrics, and status reports
- Translate business requirements into functional tests
- Collaborate with developers, operations, and other teams to identify requirements and strategies for testing new application features
- Learn and absorb new technologies quickly
- Be a strong team player and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands
Software QA Engineer Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Manual QA testing experience with strong preference for automation experience
- Exceptional debugging skills and the ability to identify root causes of test failures
- A passion for quality and software excellence
- Proactive, analytical problem solver, capable of defect tracking through the use of defect tracking tools like JIRA.
- Possesses organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and prioritize work.
- Critical thinking skills, help identify missing test cases or scenarios
