Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Research Department is now hiring for our Spring 2025 Internship Program. This is an onsite / hybrid (Preferred) or remote position eligible;
candidate must be available to work 15 hours a week during the following days / times : Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM EST. The position will start January 2025 through May 2025*.
The Research Division focuses on every aspect of the economy, from the local to the international level. At the Atlanta Fed, studies range from analyzing rural banking markets in the Southeast to designing and testing economic forecasting models used in policy making.
SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
Payments Forum Selected students will be conducting recruitment of depository and financial institutions, major card networks, payments processors, and card issuers through data submission and validation activities as part of the Federal Reserve Payments Study (FRPS) administered by the Atlanta Fed’s Payments Forum in partnership with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
The FRPS is the most comprehensive, unbiased study of noncash payments activity in the U.S. The FRPS collects data from some 4,000 financial institutions and more than 100 network processors and issuers.
Encouraging these respondents to participate and helping them to do so is the goal of the Research Interns.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in economics or finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
