Job Title : Registered Nurse - Dialysis
Job Specialty : Outpatient Dialysis
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 12-Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of two years of hemodialysis experience; travel experience required with at least one 13-week assignment
License : Registered Nurse (RN) License in South Dakota or compact state
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Must-Have :
- Hemodialysis experience
- Competency in accessing and troubleshooting fistulas / grafts
Job Description :
- Provide dialysis care for both acute and chronic patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Float between inpatient and outpatient areas
- Work with a team of dialysis technicians, LPNs, and staff nurses
- Utilize patient scheduling software and charting system EPIC
- Operate Fresenius 2008T BlueStar Hemodialysis Machine (preferred)
- Operate WRO 300 / 300H Portable Reverse Osmosis System (preferred)
- Participate in a one-week orientation consisting of general hospital and department-specific training
- Participate in call schedules with defined weekend rotation and time-off policies
- Deliver care across a three-shift outpatient operation and a six-day inpatient operation with night call duties as needed
- Work holidays when necessary, with some exceptions
