BASIC FUNCTION :
Responsible for delivering nursing care to children and adolescents from the ages of 5-18 years of age and adults age 18-65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Nursing Department.
Provides for the continuity of care of assigned patients and uses the nursing process and a holistic conceptual framework in the development of nursing care plans that address self-care limitations in behavior and interpersonal functioning.
Directs and guides activities of paraprofessional staff in the implementation of nursing care plans.
Internally, the incumbent will interface with hospital management, staff, and patients. Externally, the incumbent will interface with licensing and accrediting agencies, family members, and healthcare treatment agencies.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current license to practice nursing in the District of Colombia; Current CPR certification.
- Preferred : One year experience working in psychiatric inpatient or residential setting with adolescents or children ages 10-17 and adults ages 18-65+.
