THE ROLE
As the Compensation Analyst, you’ll report directly to the Compensation Manager. This role will aid in the design, implementation and administration of various compensation programs that enable the attraction and retention of talent in North America.
This role is ideal for compensation professionals with an interest in analyzing data, handling sensitive information and making sound decisions, with a strong desire to manage details and deliver results.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL DO
Support company / division-specific procedures and guidelines to ensure compensation programs are internally equitable and externally competitive
Provide consultation and guidance to managers and HR partners on market data and trends
Create compensation metrics and analyze data to assist business partners in making informed decisions
Manage participation in market surveys to determine market pay rates, salary structure and compensation budgets
Perform ongoing analysis of positions and assess compensation data
Participate on various project teams such as compensation planning systems, budget planning, merger / acquisition integration, and pay-for-performance programs
Lead the annual compensation process
Guide preparation of job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements
Formulate recommendations regarding FLSA regulations, job revisions and changes in organizational structures
Provide analysis and input into the design, implementation, and ongoing management of compensation strategies
Assist in designing and administering new compensation programs (including short and long-term incentive plans)
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING :
3+ years of compensation experience, along with a solid understanding of compensation practices / trends.
Demonstrated experience building strong client relationships using solid interpersonal and collaborative skills
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, and legislation that impacts compensation / pay.
Excellent analytical, mathematical and statistic skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; should be an advanced user with experience linking multiple worksheets and external databases, using pivot tables, and writing nested functions.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power-Point, Word, and Access.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resource, or other quantitative field.
Experience managing independent workload and juggling multiple priorities
Ability to work in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced culture and meet time-critical deadlines
Ability to be flexible with hours as workload changes and be able to multi-task effectively
Familiarity with Workday HCM is a plus
CCP certification a plus
