Aon is looking for a Claims Specialist II

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Travel Practice business group within Aon Affinity.

This position has 4 weeks of in person training out of Garden City, NY office followed by a hybrid or 100% remote work schedule.

In this position, there are various career tracks, such as advancing to the Claims Professional role, which offers more authority and discretion, and the Managerial track, which supervises, mentors and coaches other colleagues.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and service claims in accordance with plan provisions.
  • Examine claim submissions and documentation to confirm coverage and assess claims.
  • Review medical records, itineraries and other documentation to make determinations.
  • Proactively resolve claims within established standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers through verbal and written communication.

Skills that lead to success :

  • Claims adjudication experience.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to make decisions utilizing certificate of insurance and adjudication procedures.

Experience :

  • Prior claims adjudication experience.
  • General Adjustor license for home state, or ability to obtain within 90 days of start date.

Education :

  • College education preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Successful completion of a 4-week training program required
