Job Description :
Position Summary : As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns, including K-1s, W-2s, and retirement income documents.
This full-time, in-office role requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations and be dedicated to providing high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including K-1s, W-2s, and retirement income documents.
- Ensure all tax filings comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on tax return status.
- Analyze financial information and provide tax planning advice to clients.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax returns.
- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information and adhere to ethical standards.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing K-1s, W-2s, and retirement income tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required.
