JOB OVERVIEW
Detail-oriented Manager, Strategic Sourcing responsible for developing and implementing effective global sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective & strategic procurement of materials and services necessary for our manufacturing global operations for Nikkiso ACD.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement impactful sourcing strategies to meet the company’s supply chain objectives and production needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure alignment of sourcing activities with company goals.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to anticipate supply challenges and opportunities.
- Maintain and update supplier database, including performance metrics and contract details.
- Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring cost savings and value maximization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Sourcing Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry,
- 7-10+ years experienced in supply chain showing progressive growth and advancement.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in sourcing and procurement software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of marine industry regulations and compliance standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain.
Expected annual salary depending upon experience : $120,000.00 - $145,000.00.
