- Ensure general ledger accounts adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct and review account reconciliations for subsystem and GL accounts.
- Assist subsidiaries with account analysis and research.
- Collaborate on the development of functional specifications for projects and updates.
- Participate in testing new processes or changes to existing systems.
- Work closely with business analysts and subsidiaries to configure systems for accurate financial data.
- Lead audit control testing for subsystem reconciliations and update controls as needed.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Evaluate trends and investigate variances in account balances.
- Generate reports to support accounting activities and management decisions.
- Prepare management and statutory reports as required.
- Make recommendations to resolve issues and ensure corrections are implemented.
