Work Days : Full-Time, M-F, August - June*
Please note that you may need to attend training in Hillsdale, MI, for up to 10 days in June. Travel to the conference, lodging, and food will be covered by ACACS and Hillsdale

Ascent Classical Academy of Douglas County is seeking to expand its student services team at our growing campus in Lone Tree, Colorado.

Our well-educated faculty use traditional teaching methods and explicit instruction to provide a rich, engaging curriculum.
We are currently looking for a full-time Special Education Teacher / Case Manager. This role is crucial in fostering a strong school culture and promoting our American Classical Education model.
The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with federal and state mandates while working closely with the Dean of Student Services to support our mission.

Required Skills / Abilities :
- Master's Degree preferred
- Current Colorado licensure with the appropriate Special Education endorsement
- Experience with both pull-out and push-in modalities for service delivery preferred
- Commitment to the policies, mission, and vision of Ascent Classical Academy Charter Schools of Colorado
- Knowledge of classical education (or the willingness and desire to learn)
- Commitment to high moral character necessary to sustain ordered liberty and constitutional self-government
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively articulate information and issues
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment, superior organization, and computer skills
- Ability to develop positive and professional relationships with team members
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Willingness to complete other related duties as requested
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to traverse the classroom and adjust one's tone and height by bending or leaning in order to teach each child
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or standing
- Must be able to supervise outdoor activities
