Overview

Located on approximately 10 acres of land adjacent to Florida Hospital, Apopka Health and Rehabilitation Center is designed with a split floor plan to provide resident privacy.

The 101,811 square foot center includes 36 private and the 72 semi-private well-appointed suites. All resident rooms have individual bathrooms, each with its own shower.

Enclosed exterior courtyards feature multiple access points and plenty of shaded areas to maximize resident comfort and relaxation.

A large state-of-the-art therapy gym opens onto a courtyard featuring an occupational therapy track or mobility garden. Residents enjoy daily activities in addition to an on-site movie cinema.

Responsibilities

Speech Language Pathologist, PRN

Our community has a fabulous opportunity for a driven, passionate, and caring Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) . The SLP will :

  • Develop individual treatment programs for our members
  • Provide consultation to the nursing staff
  • Train therapy staff on treatments and procedures.

Qualifications

Must have a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program and Certification of Clinical Competency, or in process of C.

C.C. post-graduate requirement.

  • Must hold and maintain licensed to practice by the state where our facility is located (FL, IL or MO).
  • One year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is desired.
  • Ability to relate and motivate patients for productivity.
  • Able to cooperate with patients, families, peers, healthcare professionals, administrative personnel and other staff
