Responsibilities
ABIDING BY THE MARRIOTT STANDARD AT ALL TIMES
- Responsible for preparing and serving drinks to guests, making recommendations regarding drink specials / daily features in a prompt and professional hospitable manner
- Promptly and professionally serve guests beverages and food (if applicable) orders ensuring quality and accuracy
- Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled by the Restaurant Manager
- Verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol
- Dispense alcohol by State regulations
- Attempt to eliminate problems and liability related to guests' excessive drinking by taking steps such as limiting alcohol served and / or stopping serving
- Provide means of ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated guests
- Responsible for keeping bar, tables, and eating areas clean and set to the hotel and restaurant standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area
- Greet and acknowledge guests immediately with a standard greeting
- Responsible for knowledge of food and beverage offerings
- Rotate all stock (beer, pop, wine, liquor, etc.) and put it away at end of shift
- Communicate with the kitchen when items are low and need order
- Responsible for submitting correct ticket orders to the kitchen if food orders are present in the bar area through the Point of Sale system
- Perform and complete all daily opening and closing checklists
- Responsible for communicating with management regarding customer satisfaction, feedback and beverage counts
- Ensure all products are stored and secured property at all times
- Keep menus / table tents clean, organized, updated, and presentable
- Ensure all billing is calculated correctly upon presenting the guest check
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

OTHER : Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules and holidays to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with all rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
