Job Description Summary Wentworth Institute for Technology has an IMMEDIATE NEED and seeks a part-time head women’s lacrosse coach.
The ideal candidate is responsible for the organization, management, and leadership of all aspects of the NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse program. Responsibilities include :
- developing and executing strategies that identify, recruit and matriculate qualified student-athletes.
- managing the academic, athletic, and personal development of student athletes.
- building a positive, inclusive, and equitable environment that enriches the student athlete experience
- organizing and facilitating practice and game preparation to enhance the team’s performance
- hiring, supervising and developing assistant coaching staff
- coordinating team travel, managing game scheduling, and working in concert with Alumni Affairs on alumni relations.
The successful candidate will :
be fiscally responsible and able to manage and maintain an operational budget that includes team fundraising to help supplement operations;
recommend and assist in purchasing equipment; and assist in annual operating budget request for the women’s lacrosse program
- know and comply with all University, NCAA, conference and department policy and protocols
- possess strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with athletic department coaches and staff, as well as internal and external constituents.
This is a part-time position. The position requires flexible hours, nights, and weekends. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license.
