POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Position Expectations
The Donation Acquisition Manager is responsible for implementing and improving programs and operations to increase the procurement of donated goods through strategic partnerships, corporate giving programs, community donation drives, HOA partnerships, commercial donations, and Attended Donation Center (ADC) development.
Responsibilities
Develop, research, identify and initiate relationships with external companies, organizations, schools, churches, and HOA’s, etc.
to increase donated goods in the assigned territory.
- Use various research methods to identify industries and companies which would be good targets for potential corporate donations.
- Represents Goodwill of Southern Nevada in a positive, pleasant manner by always providing excellent customer service.
- Develop new sites for Attended Donation Centers for the collection of donated goods.
- Maintain a database of all donations which includes all ADC sites, retail stores, ReSupply home pick-ups, commercial donations, and special events.
- Schedule and execute donation drives, providing onsite logistics support, marketing materials, event communication, and any other services required.
- Documenting contacts with businesses and organizations.
- Provide customer service and problem resolution to donors as necessary.
- Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure the cleanliness of ADC sites by coordinating the collection, pick up and transportation of donated goods.
- Provides training and support for all department employees focusing on customer service and asset protection.
- Ensures proper staffing for all ADC locations, donation drives, events etc. utilizing the donations supervisor where necessary.
- Acts as the primary Donation Ambassador for all donation drives and special events.
- Responsible for team member management to include hiring, disciplinary action, separations, etc.
- Frequent driving of own personal vehicle to meetings, donation drives, ADC sites, etc. Must have your own personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
- Infrequent driving of a 26-foot box truck for collection of commercial donations, donation drives, or any other special events.
- Schedule flexibility to be able to meet the needs of the department.
- Assists in any other projects as determined by management.
Education, Experience, and Requirements
High school / GED completion required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must have your own personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
- Prior experience in business-to-business sales is strongly preferred.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexible work schedule that can accommodate the ADC operating schedule, donation drives, and special events.
- Strong analytical ability to research various sources, gather data, and analyze results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including a strong emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
