SUMMARY
The Banker should be able to proactively sale to new and existing customers through quality, accurate and timely customer service.
The Banker will promote bank products through positive proactive sales via Telephone, Online and Chat channels. The Banker will be able to inform and educate customers about products, services and benefits available.
The Banker will embrace and adhere to the sales strategy of the bank. The Banker will also perform any additional banking duties as required to achieve Direct Bank goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Opening Checking, Savings accounts for both new and existing consumer and non- consumer customers via telephone and online channel.
Looks for products / services to benefit customers & actively informs / sells these benefits / products to clients. Profiles customers to identify needs, follow through and close the sale.
- Responsible for needs based selling of consumer and non-consumer loans and lines of credit.
- Responsible for quality communication via telephone or email with all branch personnel.
- Cross-sell and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships.
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers via telephone, email and online chat.
- Ability to make outbound calls to customers / prospects in a manner that will help grow business through telephone and online channels.
- Timely follow up with new and existing customers to ensure revenue growth and customer retention via telephone and online channels.
- Participate in client / prospect calling activities during special campaigns
- Able to correspond clearly and accurately with customer via email and chat.
- Assist management with On the Job Training of new employees
- All other job related duties as assigned.
Weekly Scheduled Hours : Monday - Friday : AM - : PM with Occasional Saturdays
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education and job experience required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- PREFERRED : Year College Degree in Business, Marketing or Other related field.
- years of sales experience in banking, retail, etc .
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Possess excellent communication skills via telephone, email and chat
- Able to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Previous telephone sales experience a plus, but not required
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Microsoft Office Suite- ie Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access is a plus.
