Our Graph team is dedicated to simplifying the process of extracting insights from the vast scale of interconnected business data prevalent in every organization.

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with knowledge of Distributed systems, Cloud Infrastructure, and delivery of high-quality cloud software in a repeatable and measurable manner to deliver enterprise grade graph experiences.

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings : Microsoft Cloud Background Check :

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications

  • 6+ years of industry experience designing, implementing, and shipping software products.
  • Problem-solving skills and comfortable in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities and perform at an elevated level in a fast passed and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in distributed data systems and query interfaces

Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.

Responsibilities

Engineering Responsible for design and implement end-to-end features to solve complex problems in data analysis. Hold high engineering bar on code / design quality through collaborating with other team members, write clean, performance and maintainable code.

Creates and applies metrics to drive the quality and stability of code, as well as appropriate coding patterns and best practices.

Drive - Have passion to turn vision into detailed plans and execute against complex plans. Coordinating with PMs, and UX design team in driving clarity of functional requirements and intuitive user experience.

Lead design discussion with the team and share findings / learnings from investigation, hold ownership for design decisions.

Planning and Deliver Participate in sprint and semester planning, provide scope estimates. Communicate individual status on deliverables, risks in stand-ups and sprint reviews.

Accountable to deliver results based on business priority and team commitment.

  • Collaborate Partner with cross functional team members on design and implementation, manage dependencies, and provide clear communication on delivery and progress.
