Radiologic Technologist (Part Time Evening), Toms River, NJ

Job Overview :

The Radiologic Technologist performs proper radiographic procedures as required by physician orders. Provides patient service using diagnostic, portable and fluoroscopic equipment.

The technologist is competent in the production of quality radiographs for proper treatment and diagnosis by the physician.

Assist Radiologists with special examinations.

Qualifications : Required :

Required :

• Graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology
• NJ Licensure
• ARRT Certification
• BLS through American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements :

• Part-Time (20 hours per week)
• Saturdays and Sundays
• 9 : 00 am-7 : 30 pm

Essential Functions :

• Assist radiologist with special examinations
• Demonstrate competency with the use of RIS and PACS
• Employ professional judgment and discretion while performing all imaging procedures
• Maintain clean examination rooms and work environment in all areas
• Maintain proper maintenance of CR cassettes. Report cassettes needing repair
• Maintain stock levels in all procedure rooms
• Report all equipment problems to the supervisor and enter an LT work order as appropriate
• Use RadCode for interventional billing related to the section (modality) specific procedures
• Utilize principles of radiation protection for self and patients for every examination
• Utilize proper positioning and technical factors to assure diagnostic quality images for interpretation
• Utilizes all components of the RIS Mammography Module for entering new and follow-up patient information
