We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver tojoin our team. The ideal candidate must have a valid driverslicense a clean driving record and the ability to operate bothmanual and automatic transmission vehicles.

The successfulapplicant will be responsible for transporting goods from onelocation to another ensuring timely delivery in a safe andefficient manner.

Truck driverresponsibilities

• Operate truckssafely following all traffic laws and adhering to company policiesand procedures.
• Load and unload goods ensuringthat items are properly secured duringtransit.
• Plan and follow the best routes takinginto account traffic and weather conditions to ensure timelydelivery of goods.
• Conduct regular vehicleinspections to maintain its safe operation identifying andreporting any mechanical or electrical issues that requireattention.
• Communicate effectively with teammembers dispatchers and clients updating on delivery statuses andpossible delays.
• Adhere to safety protocolssuch as wearing seat belts and personal protective equipment aswell as using safety lighting and appropriate safetygear.
• Complete delivery logs and othernecessary paperwork accurately and in a timelymanner.
• Communicate courteously with otherdrivers pedestrians and road users.

Requirements

• High schooldiploma or GED equivalent
• Valid commercialdrivers license (CDL) with a clean drivingrecord
• Proven working experience as a truckdriver with a minimum of three yearsexperience
• Ability to operate both manual andautomatic transmission vehicles
• Knowledge oftruck maintenance and repair including identifying and reportingany mechanical or electrical issues
• Goodcommunication skills both verbal and written as well as basic mathskills including reading maps calculating distances and weights andcompleting delivery logs and other necessarypaperwork
• Ability to work independently insolitary shifts or as part of a team following written and verbalinstructions
• Availability to work flexiblehours including weekends and holidays asneeded
• Excellent work ethic and a commitment toproviding the best service tocustomers
• Physical fitness as drivers may berequired to lift carry and move heavycargo
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol testas required by law
