Main accountabilities include :

  • Performs operational duties at the Fuel Facility / Hydrant System
  • Comply with the Menzies Aviation Attendance / Tardiness / Code of Conduct Standards
  • Performs routine and periodic inspections and maintenance in compliance with company, customer, and government and industry standards.
  • Makes required log entries of quality control and maintenance discrepancies, their continued statuses, and plan for closeout within the maintenance database.
  • All maintenance tasks will be coordinated with the supervisor or operator on-duty, so they are aware of start, stop, and status of ongoing repairs at the fuel facility.
  • Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state, and federal safe work policies / procedures.
  • If scheduled, MUST be present for shift turnover briefings at the beginning and ending of each shift.
  • Frequent facility walk-throughs to determine additional discrepancies not noted during operator inspections.
  • Management has the right to assign miscellaneous tasks for operational / maintenance needs, including back filling facility operators should the need arise.
  • Complete all training requirements in a timely manner.

  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Knowledge of all aspects of equipment used in the operation.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in hydraulics, industrial electricity, and pneumatics;

or 5 years of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of all education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, loss / gains, inventories, inches / feet to gallons / barrels conversions, proportions, percentages, areas, weights, lengths, diameters, radius, circumferences, flow rates, pressures, voltage, amperes, watts, resistance, and volumes in standard and volumes in standard and metric.

Ability to apply concepts of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations.

Maintain maintenance objectives to maximize reliability and minimize costs.

  • Possess / maintain a valid driver’s license and other FAA Airport required identification / seals or authorizations.
  • Prior Aircraft Fueling experience required.
  • Prior management, supervisory or lead experience in the Aviation industry preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
  • Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
  • To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials, and documents
  • Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and security.
  • 40-Hour HAZMAT Certification
  • OSHA Train the Trainer
  • Incident Commander Certified
