Infant-Toddler Assistant Teacher

Wellesley Montessori School, an established and authentic Montessori program serving children from infancy through kindergarten, is seeking a warm, dedicated, and collaborative Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team.

About the Role

The Assistant Toddler Teacher works in partnership with the Lead Montessori Teacher to support a classroom of children ages 18 months to 3 years. This role is vital in helping create a nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment where children develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning.

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher in preparing and maintaining the classroom environment.

Assist children with daily routines, including toileting, dressing, meals, and transitions.

Model respectful communication and positive interactions.

Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly classroom aligned with Montessori principles.

Foster children's independence and problem-solving skills through observation and gentle guidance.

Communicate effectively and positively with children, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

Experience working with young children (toddler age preferred).

Warm, patient, and dependable, with a genuine love for working with children.

Ability to collaborate with colleagues and follow Montessori practices.

Montessoricertification (preferred, but not required).

Willingness to learn and grow through professional development and mentorship.
