Job Description
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks to grow the career and technical program at our high school by adding a CTE instructor to our team. We seek teachers who are comfortable teaching anatomy and physiology, health science, and / or a combination of science coursework to students who are in years one through three of their CTE track in health science. Success will be measured by students gaining industry certification(s) at the end of their program.
As the school grows and we enroll more students, teachers will lead classes across multiple grade levels and / or sections, and ideally run a club or enrichment block. We seek a teacher who will be committed to providing quality career and technical instruction that sets students up for college access and as such, the CTE teachers would ensure students are both exposed to rigorous and foundational health science material and can meet the state's industry certification examination requirements. This position would work closely with the electives department. Teachers are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their school leader. Please note the location of Bold City High School is located at 1440 McDuff Avenue North.
