Construction Inspector Supervisor

The Department of Public Utilities is seeking a Construction Inspector Supervisor. This work involves supervision of inspectors involved in quality assurance inspections of construction, rehabilitation, and repair of public water and sanitary sewer systems. Duties include the coordination and provision of training to subordinates, assigning work, reviewing completed work, and evaluating performance. Position is responsible for solving technical problems on job sites, investigating inquiries from city agencies and outside contacts, and resolving job related conflicts between subordinates and others. Additional responsibilities will involve reviewing plans and specifications for projects in design phase, preparing written correspondence and reports to facilitate work, and serving on various organizational teams and committees as needed.
