The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions. As part of the general accounting team, the senior accountant will assist with financial reporting, audit support, annual operating budget preparation, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities / Goals :

• Financial statement preparation prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and subsequent journal entries related to month-end close
• General compliance ensure Curtin adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations
• Audit support and tax preparation assisting with internal and external audits, assisting in the preparation of tax returns, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Budgeting and forecasting participate in the budgeting process, forecasting future financial performance, and analyzing variances.
• Process improvement identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and recommend / implement solutions
• Communication and collaboration communicate financial information to various stakeholders, including management, auditors, and regulatory agencies
