Overview
As a senior staff Tech PC Board Designer, you will be responsible for creating artwork for highly complex PCBs where design challenges include limitations on space, noise-sensitive routing, high current, and thermal management. If interested, apply today!
Job Description
In your new role you will :
- Use schematic capture and PCB layout tools to create PCB designs of moderate to high density based on initial schematics and verbal direction from design engineering
- Update PCB schematics per engineer, artwork, assembly drawings, Bills of Material and component documentation
- Collaborate with PCB Manufacturing and the Assembly house during the PCB design process to ensure that PCB designs can be made reliably and cost effectively
- Primary technical contact to PCB and PCBA suppliers
- Generation of PCB design packages (Gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings)
- Create and maintain a component library database of schematic symbols and component land patterns per IPC and Corporate standards
- Conduct PCB design layout reviews with relevant team members
- Design and model power supplies with associated Power DC simulations checking for PCB current densities
- Customer PCB Layout reviews and creates customer layouts
- Establishment and on-going improvement of best practices (e.g. design rules, tools) to achieve quality metrics
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have :
