Electrical Estimator Electrical Estimator
Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator will play a critical role in our organization by providing accurate and timely cost estimates for electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications and drawings, preparing detailed bid proposals, and collaborating with project managers to ensure the financial success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installations.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals that reflect project scope, timeframes, and costs.
- Interact with clients to understand project requirements and scope, ensuring all details are captured in the estimates.
- Utilize cost estimating software and tools such as ConEST and ERP systems to streamline the estimating process.
- Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) to solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for projects, ensuring financial viability and adherence to client requirements.
- Provide support in AFE development and management, ensuring all costs are accounted for and justified during project execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and practices to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction industry with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.Proficiency in using estimating software such as ConEST and ERP systems.Strong analytical and mathematical skills to accurately calculate costs and budgets.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.Familiarity with the Bakken and Permian Basin regions and their specific project requirements is a plus.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Benefits
