I&E Foreman Field Install (Oil & Gas)

Position Summary : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Foreman to oversee the field installation of electrical and automation equipment on an oil and gas site. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience, a strong understanding of oilfield operations, and the necessary certifications to supervise I&E crews in a safety-first environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and coordinate field crews during installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Oversee installation of MCCs, PLC panels, VFDs, motors, instrumentation, and conduit / wiring systems.
- Maintain daily work logs, provide progress updates, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades onsite.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield I&E work with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.Valid certifications (as applicable) :Journeyman or Master Electrician License (state-specific)PEC / SafelandOSHA 10 or 30First Aid / CPRH2S AwarenessTWIC (if required by site)Proficient in NEC, API, and industry standards for hazardous areas.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in upstream oil and gas production facilities.Knowledge of SCADA systems, automation panels, and commissioning protocols.Compensation : Competitive pay based on experience. Per diem and housing may be provided for eligible candidates.
