Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients, providing high-quality specimen collection and exceptional customer service. The PSR II is responsible for performing accurate, efficient, and safe blood draws while ensuring a positive patient experience. This role combines clinical expertise, professionalism, and compassion to support diagnostic excellence and patient trust.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen collection duties accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional clinical environment, ensuring adherence to all laboratory and healthcare standards.
Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in compliance with company procedures.
Verify patient demographics and signatures post-collection to ensure specimen labels match patient identification.
Accurately document and maintain required patient records and logs.
Build rapport and foster trusting relationships with patients through professional communication and empathy.
Demonstrate strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy when handling patient information.
Support company goals by promoting process excellence and organizational commitment.
Required Experience :
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
At least 2 years in a patient service center or clinical environment preferred.
Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or a related field highly preferred.
Keyboarding / data entry experience required.
Education & Certification :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
