Illinois Licensed Lab Billing Specialist

A company is looking for a Lab Billing & Coding Representative.

Key Responsibilities

Resolve Lab-related CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 inquiries for internal and external parties

Edit laboratory test charges to ensure appropriate coding and modifiers are applied

Research and resolve billing reports and work queues related to registration errors and claim edits

Required Qualifications

Understanding of medical terminology and patient registration

Knowledge of insurance eligibility and payer rules

Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines for billing

Experience with electronic medical record systems and Lab Information Systems

Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to resolve billing issues
