Job Description

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-craft workforce engaged in daily maintenance activities as to provide a seamless support activity to the production units.
  • Coaching and mentoring of direct reports to maintain a cohesive team focused on departmental, plant, and corporate goals.
  • Provides technical expertise in resolving day-to-day complex equipment problems while assisting craftsmen to logically resolve issues.
  • Establish concepts and perform observations and coaching to ensure that execution of planned work is cost-effective and efficient
  • Analyze maintenance schedules and execution of the work to minimize errors or delays
  • Prepares daily / weekly assignments and administers discipline of direct reports as needed.

Position Requirements

  • Technically competent individual with expertise and experience in at least one maintenance craft field
  • Minimum of six (6) years of craft experience and three (3) years of technical support experience or an equivalent combination
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems is required, with knowledge about the amount of time required for different scopes of repair on industrial equipment.
  • Experience in a unionized environment desired
  • Ability to build and sustain good working relationships and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be achievement motivated and have a high energy level
  • Must have effective planning and organizational skills and effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Health, Safety and Environmentally focused
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve
  • Desire / Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift
