Payroll Consultant

$28-35 / hr

Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm

Columbus, Ohio

Contract; Hybrid

What You’ll Do :

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage payroll data including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and compensation changes
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure data integrity
  • Administer deductions including benefits, retirement contributions, and garnishments
  • Partner with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and support audits
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with internal controls and compliance requirements
  • Support system implementations, integrations, and process improvements
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll questions

    • What We’re Looking For :

  • Support system implementations, integrations, and process improvements
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll questions
  • 3–10 years of hands-on payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax filings, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in payroll software (Deel)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
