Vice President of Applied Research

A company is looking for a Vice President of Applied Research & Creative Engineering (ARC).

Key Responsibilities

Provide senior leadership to convert research investments into scalable business solutions

Commission prototypes and technical analyses, ensuring clear objectives and measurable outcomes

Build and improve a scalable operating model to manage innovation requests and resource allocation

Required Qualifications

15+ years of experience in applied research, product incubation, or innovation management

Strong background in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline; a PhD or Master's is preferred

Proven ability to design and scale operating models balancing innovation throughput with quality

Experience in managing budgets and resources in a multi-stakeholder environment

Proficiency in applying AI / ML to enhance applied research and prototyping processes
