Tax Analyst
The Tax Analyst will have the opportunity to :
Be responsible for tax compliance and return preparation, including applicable research related to specific tax compliance issues
Work under frequent supervision
Key responsibilities include :
Compliance and Reporting :
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns
File original and / or annual tax registrations
File property tax listings and filings
Maintain track of current compliance and ensures all tax returns are filed in a timely manner and are organized for record
Planning and Research :
Research tax issues
Responsible for understanding client projects
Assist with special projects
Dispute and Resolutions :
Assist with documentation for tax inquiries
Retrieve information for tax exams
Accounting for Taxes :
Prepare tax provision calculations
Primary internal clients are finance managers and / or finance supervisors
May assist with requests from other departments, business lines and entities as needed with tax issues
Preferred technical skills include :
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Basic
Microsoft Excel, Intermediate
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Systems and Reporting
Knowledge of Black and Veatch Systems, Basic
Knowledge of percent complete accounting, Basic
General Accounting knowledge, Basic
Knowledge of Financial Statement analysis, Basic
Knowledge of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and / or International Tax, Basic
Tax research skills, basic
Preferred non-technical skills include :
Organizing
Planning
Written Communications
Action Oriented
Peer Relationships
Dealing with Ambiguity
Problem Solving
Minimum qualifications include :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
Typically 2+ years' related experience
