job_description.job_card.job_descriptionDetermine and maintain bid schedules by project schedules Coordinate responses to bidder questions Review, compare, and evaluate supplier proposals with pricing data to ensure cost-competitive pricing and identify savings opportunities Lead commercial negotiations for High-Voltage Equipment Supply Agreements and project orders Coordinate with the team and Director of Procurement (HV) to align with portfolio strategy Incorporate knowledge of utility-scale renewable complexities into RFP / contracting strategies (e.g., safe-harbor needs, domestic content, IRA timing) Manage change order processes for suppliers and related contract management tasks; mentor Procurement Specialists Ensure prime contract flow-downs are included in subcontracts as needed Monitor supplier compliance with contract terms and project requirements Support Project Management Team with contract information to resolve supplier issues Evaluate vendor performance and develop improvement processes Maintain accurate purchasing records and track market data for leadership updates Identify, qualify, and onboard new vendors Regular attendance as required by policy Performs other duties and special projects as assigned Bachelor's Degree required Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in Contract Management and / or Procurement Minimum 3 – 4 years of experience in utility-scale solar / renewable energy and / or large-scale construction projects Experience leading capital equipment purchasing, contract management, and change order management Preferred experience implementing strategic sourcing initiatives Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment Strong prioritization, organizational, and communication skills Experience in cross-functional collaboration and supplier relationship management Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore and SAP or ability to quickly learn new systems Able to identify, investigate, and solve problems promptly Stationary for up to 90% of the day; seated up to 8 hours Occasional bending, standing, and walking Ability to lift light to heavy objects up to 10 pounds Frequent hearing and clear communication Frequent use of computer; sight to read documents Occasional stair access to office floors Travel up to 20% as needed Regular professional office setting; potential on construction sites Hybrid arrangement may transition based on business needs
Overview
Procurement Manager - High Voltage at Qcells EPC in Irvine, CA. Hybrid work status. Supervisor : Director of Procurement. FLSA : Exempt. Position : Permanent, Full-time.
Qcells USA specializes in utility-scale modules, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project development, along with EPC services for solar and BESS projects nationwide. This role will own one or more major procurement categories related to high-voltage electrical substations and equipment, and will collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, legal, and finance to ensure cost-effective, timely procurement with risk mitigation.
Salary & Location
Base pay range : $125,000.00 / yr - $155,000.00 / yr. Location : Irvine, CA. Travel up to 20% may be required.
Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the procurement of materials and / or services.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers in alignment with the Company's strategic goals.
- Manage the RFx process, including :
Prepare RFIs & RFPs to qualified suppliers, coordinating with other functions to gather required documents and data

The salary range is $125,000 - $155,000 base per year for Irvine, CA. Additional bonus structure and benefits may apply depending on level and position.
