Summary / Objective : Promotes the company mission statement by joining the Project Manager as a team who work together to create a safe work environment, build a quality project and keep projects on schedule while earning a fair and reasonable profit.

Essential Functions :

• Act as the main contact for the project at the jobsite.
• Oversee the project to make all critical field decisions.
• Oversee the project to ensure proper project decisions.

Scheduling.

Understand issues and assist in resolving issues.

Safety / SOAR.

Ensure Harper safety requirements are explained, implemented, and demonstrated.

Project specific safety pre-planning.

QA example :

Pre-installation meetings.

Visual and documents inspections of work in place.

Project site specific logistics / use including associated rules.

This includes Assistant Superintendents, Foreman, Field Engineers, and Interns.

Can affectively assist in Harpers efforts regarding estimating, scheduling, interviewing, etc.

Fill-In Daily Log.

Recent drawings.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

This includes Assistant Superintendents, Foreman, Field Engineers, and Interns.

Work Environment : While performing the duties of Superintendent, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.

Physical Demands : The Superintendent is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned. Weather and climate conditions will vary throughout the progress of a project and the Superintendent must be able to inspect all ongoing construction activities over the duration of the assigned project. This role requires walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Lifting requirements vary from minimal loads to heavy; but help is always available with heavier loads. Inspection for quality, consistency and completeness of work frequently requires climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.

Travel Required : Travel to / from multiple jobsites, projects, and offices. Minimal overnight or weekend travel. Driving a company-owned vehicle is required to perform duties. A valid state-issued license, satisfactory motor vehicle record, safe driving behavior, and adherence to our Driving and Truck Policy are required.

Education and Experience :

Includes five plus years as a Superintendent.

Ability to understand and create an Overall Project Schedule.

Includes understanding critical milestone dates.

Includes understanding the critical path and its changes.

With Trade Partners.

Includes setting an agenda and maintaining the agenda.

Includes setting an agenda and maintaining the agenda.

Also show the ability to understand when documentation is required related to drawing and specification updates and or cost impacts.

Coordinate a 3D design for conflicts.

Plans.
