Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly detailed and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team in Akron, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will play an integral part in managing customer master data while supporting various accounting functions within the manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities :

• Customer Master Data Management : Accurately input, update, and maintain complex customer master data records while adhering to high-quality standards.
• Accounts Receivable Support : Assist with invoice tracking, payment reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies in customer accounts.
• Accounts Payable Operations : Manage vendor communications, handle invoice approval workflows, and support payment processing tasks.
• Data Analysis : Utilize spreadsheet tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, for organizing, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
• Quality Control : Conduct regular audits and ensure the integrity of accounting information and records.
• Process Improvement : Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for streamlining workflows and improving efficiency in accounting operations.
• Administrative Assistance : Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Attention to Detail : Maintain accuracy in all tasks to prevent errors, inconsistencies, or delays in operations.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Familiarity with vendor management and financial recordkeeping.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
