The Huntōn , a luxury boutique hotel and fine dining destination opening in August 2025, is setting a new culinary standard in Virginia’s hunt country. Known for its elegant restraint, world-class sourcing, and storytelling through food, The Huntōn is assembling a talented pastry team — and we are currently hiring AM Bakers / Pastry Prep Cooks to join our opening brigade.
About the Role :
As an AM Baker or Pastry Prep Cook, you will help create the foundational pastry and bakery components that support breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner service . This includes everything from viennoiserie and breakfast pastries to tart shells, laminated doughs, ice creams, and garnishes.
You’ll be working early shifts in a focused, clean environment — contributing to a pastry program that emphasizes seasonality, precision, and subtle luxury.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and execute pastry mise en place, following detailed prep lists and recipes
- Bake and finish breakfast pastries, muffins, scones, and laminated items (as applicable)
- Scale, mix, and portion doughs and batters for cakes, cookies, tarts, and plated desserts
- Assist in maintaining par levels for service and daily production
- Label, store, and rotate ingredients and prepped items according to safety standards
- Maintain pastry station cleanliness and assist with deep cleaning as needed
