• Work Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM (5x8 day shifts)
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Sunday, December 21st is a required work day
• No on-call requirements
• 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications : BLS, ARRT, VA License (or pending VA License with VA Temp License)
• Provide daily care to cancer patients including accurate interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments
• Perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students
• Assist in Brachytherapy procedures and treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Schedule patients and explain pre-treatment and post-treatment procedures
• Prepare room and equipment according to prescription requirements
• Take and check images of all treated areas
• Maintain visual and audible contact with patients during treatments
• Observe patients for unusual reactions and report to designated personnel
• Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
• Document treatment doses accurately and check charges daily for billing
• Work with EPIC EMR system
