Position Overview
The Global IT Manager of Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for managing IT activities for a Dayco facility(s). The Global IT Manager will ensure all IT resources required to support the facilities are identified and tracked to achieve project cost, schedule, and performance requirements, and arbitrate resolution to any obstacle which may hinder the local support and corporate relationship. The IT Manager is the primary IT focal point with Plant personnel and provides necessary information concerning IT services and products. This position uses in-depth knowledge, advanced problem-solving skills and an awareness of the organization's priorities to translate strategic / tactical direction into actionable plans and implementation activities. IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager with Cloud and Network experience will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud-based / on premises infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our company's cloud services and ensuring they are secure, reliable, and scalable.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities : (Identify essential functions and responsibilities)
- Managers who use in-depth knowledge, advanced problem-solving skills and an awareness of the organization's priorities to translate strategic direction into tactical plans and implementation activities.
- Develop and implement cloud-based infrastructure strategy for the organization, including security, networking, and storage solutions.
- Utilize Managed Services where it makes sense and is cost effective and provide efficient and effective support for Dayco.
- Work closely with Security team and managed services to follow best practices for securing our network and environment.
- Manages teams in the areas of day-to-day support, project development, project scheduling, technical direction, future planning, operation of cloud services, including availability, scalability, performance and best standard practices.
- Participates in budgeting and capital planning and quality improvement activities for the organization.
- Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project / program objectives are met on time and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for guiding the activities related to planning, managing and implementing business and IT projects and programs.
- Evaluates performance and training needs and provides coaching and guidance for staff.
- Monitor and report on cloud service performance and usage, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provides leadership role in the design and implementation of the computer and communication hardware, operating system software and productivity tools.
- Provides support to the business units and external groups in the use of enterprise computer and communications environment.
- Develops plans for migration of technologies to support necessary future directions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for cloud service usage, security, and compliance.
- Develops long range computer and communication architecture and strategy. Provides enterprise-wide direction on the use of emerging technologies for IT satellite operations, including other groups and subsidiaries.
- Defines paths for necessary capacity increase of computer and communications hardware and software.
- Defines enterprise technical objectives and plans in the areas of computer and communication technologies to facilitate its orderly and efficient implementation.
- Provides direction to all IT functions in computer and communication technology to maintain the maximum efficiency of the enterprise capital and human resources including hardware and software.

Educational Experience : High School Diploma Associate's Degree Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree
Field of Study / Technical Certifications :
Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration
Minimum # of Years of Experience :
Ten or more years of IT Operations experience plus two or more years leading team(s) in enterprise governance.
Required PC Skills :
Word Excel PowerPoint Access Other : Outlook, Visio, Project
Required Technical Skills :
Project management and ITIL methodology
