The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Purchasing Receiving Clerk to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Purchasing Receiving Clerk will be responsible for collecting and recording all incoming products while maintaining accountability of such items in the property purchasing software systems. Responsibilities include verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders; directing trucks into docks and checking loads for infestation and sanitation. Verify actual product against receiving documents, confirming product integrity, and checking product temperatures as needed. Complete receiving data entry in the purchasing software systems. Delivers incoming products to applicable departments. Performs general warehouse functions, outlet requisition movement, stocking, and rotating product. Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment; responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock, receiving office area, and storeroom. Inform Director of Purchasing and Buyer in the event of any returns, shortages, or no-show deliveries immediately. Inspect food quality at time of receipt; logging in all required temp. Anything questionable must be approved by F&B Management or the Director of Purchasing.

Qualifications : Aspire to our values of being passionate, strive for excellence, remain relevant, collaborate and act with honor and integrity. 1 year or more of experience. Ability to handle frequent interruptions contributing to stressful situations. Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required. Physical demands : Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing. Certified and experienced in using common warehouse equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks.
