The Opportunity Our client is an established precision manufacturer in Brea, CA specializing in custom electric motors. With 200+ employees and a modern 40-person machine shop, they're experiencing unprecedented demand. This means significant overtime opportunities now (55-60+ hours / week) with a return to standard first shift once their new climate-controlled facility upgrades are complete.

Pay : $25-$32 / hour + daily / weekly overtime premiums

Current Schedule : 4 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM Mon-Fri + mandatory Saturdays (temporary for backlog)

Future Schedule : 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM Mon-Fri (standard first shift)

Your Impact As a CNC Machinist, you'll operate our currently idle lathe to help tackle our production backlog. You'll machine precision motor components, maintaining ±0.001" tolerances while contributing to our lean manufacturing initiatives. This role directly impacts our ability to meet customer commitments and grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls to produce motor shafts and components
• Machine families of similar parts in aluminum and steel, holding tight tolerances
• Read blueprints and make minor G-code edits at the machine (no complex programming)
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
• Complete full production cycle from setup through teardown with quality documentation
• Potentially run multiple machines as you gain proficiency
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
