Base pay range : $45.00 / hr - $60.00 / hr. Job Summary
This role is the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including healthcare, process manufacturing facilities, educational institutions, and office complexes. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. You will use knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. The role involves working with internal and external partners on new facility setups and existing retrofits. Responsibilities
- Responsible for end to end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
- Represent the company as the direct customer contact and service products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, examining, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer's location.
- Coordinate with team leader / project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
- Use software and technology, with hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
- Mentor team members and demonstrate flexibility to work overtime and weeks as required, including occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent; 5-10+ years of HVAC experience. Technical school or formal training preferred.Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with handheld devices (smartphone, iPad).Must possess a valid driver's license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the past 3 years (e.g., DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless driving).EPA Certification preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure
Must be able to safely operate a vehicle using a seat belt and wear safety equipment (helmet, goggles, fall protection, boots).Must be able to perform physical activities including twisting, squatting, reaching overhead, standing on concrete for extended periods, and lifting up to 40 lbs regularly (up to 10 lbs minimum).Must be able to climb ladders and access rooftops up to 50 feet; work in variable weather and around moving mechanical parts.Job Details
