How You’ll Make An Impact

As a Supervisor in the Broadcast Operations and Technology department you will be responsible for shift-supervising the daily operational activities of the Broadcast Operations Center, overseeing technician performance and broadcast quality assurance. Supervisors ensure compliance with operational standards and effective handling and reviews of technical incidents. Supervisors are involved in designing and scheduling training, developing operational workflows, and disaster recovery processes. Their role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination and communication across departments and with external parties. This supervisory role is essential for maintaining high standards of broadcast reliability and operational excellence. Supervisors and their teams are responsible for the proper content delivery of all Talk, Music News, and Sports play-by-play channels airing on our Sirius, XM and Web platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Skilled at responding decisively and thoughtfully in high-pressure and / or time-sensitive scenarios.
• Ability to execute Disaster Recovery (Business Continuity) sequence of events in relation to Broadcast Operations Center responsibilities.
• Advanced understanding of advanced broadcast technologies including TS over IP.
• Technical knowledge of satellite, ISDN, IP CODEC, TS over IP and other modern broadcast transmission technologies.
• Thorough understanding of digital audio routing systems.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and triage issues with minimal oversight.
• Escalation of major incidents to appropriate groups and leaders.
• Knowledge of audio production systems and digital audio storage.
• Familiarity with broadcast automation systems.
• Facilitate live studio show programming to air.
• Interface with other departments such as Programming, Media Engineering and Uplink Control operations.
• Collaborate with management to ensure consistent application of processes, procedures, and protocols across all locations, promoting a unified operating environment for all staff.
• Assist in the development of operations documentation ensuring all processes and procedures are detailed to integrate any new systems, components, or broadcast requirements.
• Utilize checklists and workflows the Operations Center technicians are responsible for fulfilling.
• Oversee process adherence for groups involved with premiere live events.
• Exceptional at managing tasks efficiently with close attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Calm, collaborative, accountable and present work ethic.
• Familiarity with Slack and Google Office suite (Docs, Sheets, Sites, Forms, Calendar, Drive & Slides).
• Working knowledge of Lucid, Visio, CAD or other signal flow software is a plus.
• Work in our 24 / 7 / 365 operations centers to ensure proper delivery and support of all Talk, Music News, and Sports play-by-play programming.

What You’ll Need

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $79,000 to $114,500 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
