The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As the Transportation Management Systems Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter advisor to the Global Transportation Management Systems Manager and to the wider 3M organization. The Transportation Management (TM) System will be a key enabler of visibility, shipment tracking and control, process control and performance management of 3M's global logistics footprint. The responsibilities of this position include advising the TM strategy execution globally, implementing process and data requirements, enabling scorecards and advising on performance management improvement. In addition, this role will require comprehensive cross-functional stakeholder management and strong external logistics service provider liaison.

• Ensuring the successful implementation of the TM system globally to unlock improved performance and streamline work.
• Participating in the change management journey at 3M as we progress from many disparate systems to one standardized global platform.
• Be a key advisor towards establishing standard process and data design to simplify the future deployments of TM.
• Advice on how to integrate TM with other systems at 3M such as SAP ERP.
• Stay abreast of market and technology trends to ensure 3M stays ahead of the curve.
• Enable the Global Transportation Management Systems Manager to ensure that the TM strategy is aligned with the strategic objectives and goals of 3M.
• Develop specified training material for users and ensure that the material is constantly refreshed.
