About The Role

Superior Industrial Maintenance is seeking a liquid applied roofing applicator for our Concord, NC location. The role involves applying liquid membrane waterproofing systems to roofs, using sprayers or rollers to create a seamless, protective barrier, repairing cracks and leaks, and ensuring surface preparation complies with safety and manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Surface preparation : cleaning, inspecting, and repairing roofs before coating.
  • Primer application : applying primer to enhance adhesion.
  • Liquid membrane application : using equipment to evenly coat roofs according to specifications.
  • Detailing : sealing around penetrations and edges for waterproofing.
  • Quality control : inspecting the membrane for coverage and adherence.
  • Safety compliance : following safety protocols and using PPE.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to work on roofs, climb ladders, and lift materials.
  • Knowledge of liquid roofing systems and application methods.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Construction knowledge and understanding of roof principles.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, with exposure to chemicals and fumes.
  • OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it within the first week (company paid).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
  • Good communication skills.
  • 1-2 years experience in liquid roofing or construction.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. and work weekends / holidays.
  • Willing to work at Department of Corrections facilities across North Carolina.

    • All employment is contingent upon passing a drug screen and background check.
